Dino Moliterno, formerly of Muller Martini, has joined K&M Newspaper Services, Inc. He has over 15 years experience working with mailrooms and newspaper post press systems, specializing in SLS inline inserters and related equipment.
Dino will head up the SLS product development line for the SLS 2000’s and 3000’s to add to K&M’s already existing SLS 1000 products and services. This will allow K&M to provide the large national market with programs such as feeder rebuilds, pocket rebuilds, consolidation equipment moves, as well as after hour technical services with a focus on aftermarket parts.

K&M will provide the Times News, Kingsport, TN a 30 Station, Dual Delivery Titan G60 Inserting System. The project also includes Miracom Inserter and Downstream Controls on an existing NP630, and a new Dock Distribution System.

OUT WITH THE OLD & IN WITH THE NEW!!
K&M recently completed installation of a fully remanufactured SLS-1000 at the Dothan Eagle, Alabama. SLS-1000 parts and service are not new to K&M as we have been supplying parts, retrofits, hopper rebuild and exchange program for a number of years – this was a total factory rebuild from the ground up. Utilizing the same techniques and practice we have been using to remanufacture Harris style inserters and our engineering know how to develop the Titan Series of Shaft-less Inserters, K&M went to work on remanufacturing the SLS-1000 inserter with the same vigor. All moving parts including but not limited to gears, gearboxes, cams, cam followers, drive belts, collator chain, sprockets, chains, clutches, and springs were replace with new parts. The guarding was upgraded to OSHA standards and electronics and controls were also upgraded.
The result was an inserter that was returned to better than original specifications and afforded K&M to offer our customer worry free warranty – this customer does not have to worry about fixing a used piece of equipment while learning to operate it. Like a wise man once said, “remanufacturing and warranty are the only cure for used machinery blues”.
